Questions

Frequently asked questions.

How ASM works, what changes for your team, and how it relates to SSC and MedLux Capital. If your question is not here, ask us directly.

What does Aesthetic Service Management actually do?

ASM manages equipment service on your behalf. Your staff sends one message when a device needs attention. ASM opens the ticket, engages the right vendor, follows the repair through to completion, keeps preventative maintenance on schedule, and reports on every device across every location.

Think of ASM as the equipment service department your practice would build if it were large enough to justify one.

Do we have to change our vendors or service contracts?

No. ASM works with the manufacturer service desks, third-party technicians, and contracts you already have. During onboarding we document each relationship and then manage it. If a vendor is underperforming, we will tell you and recommend alternatives, but the decision stays with you.

Does ASM repair equipment itself?

ASM coordinates and oversees service. Repairs are performed by manufacturer or qualified independent technicians, and ASM holds them accountable for response time, parts, and first-visit fix rate. Where appropriate, ASM can also arrange loaner or rental equipment while a repair is in progress.

What kinds of practices does ASM work with?

Dermatology practices, med spas and aesthetic clinics, plastic surgery and cosmetic practices, and multi-location groups. Single-site practices benefit from having one accountable contact; multi-location organizations benefit most from the standardized process and organization-wide reporting.

Which equipment brands do you support?

All brands and all modalities. ASM manages service for every aesthetic and medical device platform a practice runs, regardless of manufacturer: laser, IPL, radiofrequency, ultrasound, body contouring, and other energy-based systems. See the equipment page for representative categories, or ask about a specific device.

How does a single point of contact work day to day?

Each site is given one way to reach ASM. A clinic manager or provider sends the request, ASM confirms receipt, and from that point the site receives status updates rather than making calls. Leadership sees open tickets and maintenance status across all locations in the regular report.

What is the difference between ASM, SSC, and MedLux Capital?

They are three independent but complementary companies. ASM is the operational engine: day-to-day service management. Strategic Service Contracts (SSC) is the financial protection layer: comprehensive service contracts that make repair costs predictable. MedLux Capital is an optional strategic resource for equipment financing, leasing, rentals, and technology planning.

Each can be engaged on its own or combined into a single equipment management strategy.

Can we engage ASM alone?

Yes. ASM service management only is one of the most common engagements. You can add SSC coverage or MedLux Capital services later as needs evolve, without changing how ASM operates.

How does onboarding work, and how long does it take?

Onboarding typically runs three to four weeks: an equipment inventory at every location, documentation of existing vendors and contracts, a preventative maintenance calendar for every device, and then go-live with the single intake channel at each site. Leadership receives the first organization-wide report within the first month.

How is ASM priced?

Pricing depends on the number of locations and devices under management and on which services you engage. Request a consultation and we will outline the engagement that fits and what it would change for your team.

Where does ASM operate?

ASM provides nationwide service management. Vendor coordination and reporting are handled centrally, and on-site work is performed by the manufacturer or qualified technicians in your area.
